What is unseen also matters
In a motorhome, the difference often lies not only in what you see upon entering, but also in everything that remains hidden. In this video, we show how we tackle the undercarriage of a Bunkervan, an area that involves a great deal of technical work and where a good installation makes all the difference over the years.

In a motorhome, the difference often lies not only in what you see upon entering, but also in everything that remains hidden. In this video, we show how we tackle the undercarriage of a Bunkervan, an area that involves a great deal of technical work and where a good installation makes all the difference over the years.
Underneath a motorhome: what you don't see also matters
When talking about a motorhome, people almost always focus on what's visible. The layout, the furnishings, the bathroom, and the kitchen usually get all the attention. That's normal. It's the first thing anyone sees.
But a very important part of a vehicle's quality lies in what you can't see. That's why we wanted to share this video. Because the undercarriage of a motorhome also reveals a lot about how it's built.
There's technical work, planning, and many decisions involved that go unnoticed at first glance. However, over the years, they make a huge difference.
Well-resolved drainage and a cleaner basement
One of the most important aspects is the drainage system. In our case, it's designed to exit precisely where it should. It aligns with the top of the tank and the exact points on the bodywork.
This necessitates a very thorough study of the interior layouts. It's a more complex solution, but also much cleaner and better executed.
Thanks to this design, we avoid visible pipes on the outside of the motorhome. The undercarriage is tidier, better protected, and much less exposed to impacts, dirt, and wear and tear over time.
Heating and hot water well protected
We apply the same philosophy to diesel heating and hot water systems. These are very important elements in any camper. And they also need to be very well protected.
That's why we avoid leaving these lines exposed in vulnerable exterior areas. The entire system is housed within a protective metal enclosure. From there, the lines pass into the vehicle through sheltered areas.
This approach prevents delicate pipes from being exposed to water, branches, or minor impacts. It also reduces the risk of deterioration over time in components that should be protected from the start.
A well-made motorhome also shows underneath.
At first glance, many of these details go unnoticed. They aren't the most eye-catching in a photo. Nor are they the first things someone notices when they enter a camper.
But it's precisely these elements that make the difference over time. A clean, tidy, and well-designed basement better protects the building's infrastructure and reflects a serious approach to construction.
At BUNKERVAN, we understand motorhomes this way. We don't just take care of what's visible. We also place great importance on everything that remains hidden and, ultimately, is key to the vehicle's durability.
A video to show a side that almost no one shows.
In this video, we show precisely that. A part of the motorhome that is often overlooked, but is very important. Because a well-made motorhome shouldn't just be well-finished inside. It should also be well-designed underneath.
